The price is steep to get in to the UAD space and get a handful of plugins you see yourself using a lot, but I think once you get some and get some familiarity working with them, the results will speak for themselves. I love the results from the plugins that come bundled (even though they do have better paid versions), and I've also purchased 8 others that I use pretty frequently. I think the conversion on these units are amazing for the price. If you're planning on using a lot of UAD plugins in sessions and you're starting to run out of UAD juice, you'll need to render down audio with UAD plugins earlier in your chain and then you can disable that plugin freeing up resources again, but this is a fairly common thing to do for most workflows anyways. Most of the plugins don't take a lot, but there are a handful that do get over the 50% threshold. note that the percentages you see only apply to one chip, for example, look at the first item on the list: the 4k Buss Compressor uses 3.4% of a single chip, and you've got 4 chips in the Quad you're going to get, so plenty of room to spare. and also provide this chart for your follow up question.

Those plug-ins wont work at all without one of those. Just because a plugin works on my system does not guarantee that it will work on yours. You need some kind of UAD hardware - either the Apollo, or the Satellite, or the UAD-2 PCI card. I'm not knocking the plugins, just pointing out that this is much harder than you probably think. The question is : Do you have any sound on your monitor using it as stand alone on inputs 1 and 2 It is not a silly question because I send it to Tech assist and guy from there said it is normal to get no sound and I disagree that.

It's not my are always willing to fix Mixbus if it becomes clear that we are not following the spec. don't force me to find solutions for issues by contacting UA, Softube etc for the graphic glitch problem. CLEAR THINGS.ĭon't get me wrong, I have been and still I am a good supporter of mixbus because I like so much this daw and I recognise all the great job you have done and all the new goodies of 3.1. Perhaps something like: "Mixbus 3.1 is not compatible with bla, blah blah 3nd party plugins". I understand that there are surely serious technical reasons for these kind of issues but I would expect from Harrison's team a better statement. In my opinion this job is not to be done from the client. Then, except UA, we have to contact Soundtoys, Softube, Plugin Alliance etc. You will be best served by contacting UAD, I think. Even if it is our fault, we have no idea how UAD makes their plugin windows, or what libraries they use, or what might cause a "slowdown".
